My name's Miyabi, but I usually go by Miya or Mia! I'm in my 30s, live in the Oregon with my family and am disabled - thusly, I have no "real" job of my own. However, I try to spend a good chunk each day doing some art for myself and others! I've been drawing ever since I was really little - art was always a hobby of mine, even during high school when I took art classes as part of a program.

This entirely changed in March of 2017. While attending Portland State University, I dropped out of my computer science degree and changed majors to Art Practices. After taking an array of drawing, painting, animation/video and history classes, I would eventually get my BA in 2021. Since then, my career has sort of been in this weird limbo, caused by my own indecisiveness and lack of knowledge about marketing. Fortunately, the convention scene in the region has been more than kind in allowing me to share my artwork with others! I've been fortunate enough to host a table for my own merch at various events in Oregon since 2019, making a post-pandemic return in 2023.

Most of the time I'm drawing original furry and humanoid characters, if not fanart of my favorite games, anime, etc. Occasionally I'll practice sketching automobiles, namely JDMs like the Toyota MR2 (SW20) and Subaru Impreza (GDB). It's most comfortable for me to draw digitally as of late, as it gives me zero worry about permanent mistakes, but I still enjoy sketching on paper as well. My tools-of-the-trade are an XP-Pen Innovator 16, a whole lot of colored pencils and Copic markers.

My presence online began in 2008, when I started my first deviantART account as a 12-year-old. I usually drew my favorite characters, like Sonic the Hedgehog and a few Pokemon. From there I very carefully explored furry spaces, and once I stumbled upon Fur Affinity in late high school, my original ideas started to bloom! There's no clear story or lore about my characters, I just like to express my personal feelings through them most of the time. There are some ideas floating around though, possibly about comics or animations!

I have other hobbies: playing video games (racing, rhythm, fighting, puzzle), streaming on Twitch (weekends), geeking out over cars (i'm no motorhead but i like how they look!), and watching streams/anime/cartoons!
